Serving Children and Adolescents

Welcome! The Child and Adolescent Program at Biola Counseling Center provides psychotherapeutic services for children and adolescents. We provide in-depth assessments, consultation with parents and caregivers, and design treatment plans specific to the needs of children and their families.

We are a shame-free, judgment-free program. We strive to provide a safe place to discuss your child’s difficulties or challenges. Asking for help can be a difficult decision and demonstrates how much you care for your child and family. In response, we are ready to provide you with the tools and guidance necessary to alleviate suffering and improve daily living.

We believe the caregiver plays a crucial role in the psychotherapy process, and your child’s therapist will meet with you once a month to review progress. The therapist will listen to your ideas, thoughts and concerns about helping your child. The therapist will also suggest how you can help to facilitate positive change in your child’s life.

For those clients for whom faith is an important part of life, we will help to encourage your faith both in and outside of therapy. We believe that this approach helps create wholeness and a firm foundation for growth and healing.

If you have concerns about your child’s mood, behavior, or relationships and want help getting them back on track, please contact us.
